3rd Annual Fish-n-Fry
Victory Heights Baptist Church
On Saturday August 29th, 2009 we held our 3rd Annual Fish-n-Fry.  After meeting at the Church, several members and their friends rode into Ruleville for a morning of fishing.  The fish farm was teeming with catfish and everyone had a wonderful time.  We left around 11:30 am with 129 pounds of catfish!  What a catch.  Below are pictures of our avid fishers and just some of their catch.

Pastor Doug Turberville caught the first fish of the morning... 2 pounds 14 ounces!
Cameron, Zandra, and Colby anxiously awaiting a bite.
Brian and Jaimie proved to the rest of us that teamwork pays off.
Tony could not convince Jonathan that the fish bite better after one of their own is kissed.
Pastor Buddy Wimberly of Lannie Road Baptist Church in Jacksonville Florida allows his catfish to roll around in the grass a bit before weigh-in.  Hoping it would weigh 4 pounds when he finally got it to the scales.
Pastor Buddy's fish weighed 2.12 pounds.  The grass did't help it gain weight.
While Cedie records the fish's weight, Jonathan does a great fish imitation.  We had to hide the chicken livers.
After giving her fish a bath and drying it off with a towel, Desiree decided to bring it in to be weighed.
Anne Wimberly patiently awaits for a bite.
Klint holds his granddaughter and the huge fish that she caught.
Jennifer caught the biggest fish of the day... 4.4 pounds.  What a whopper!
