SHORT HISTORY OF DR.BENJAMIN RUSSELL BELL. Birth 5/13/40
Saved: at the age of 19,in the fall of 1959.
Mamie and I were married in August 4th 1956.
Mamie was saved at the age of 18, in the fall of 1959 on the same day as me.
Recognized the call to preach on a Thursday prayer meeting night three week later in the fall of 1959, I was called to preach the first week of my conversion and did so but it took me two more weeks to realize just what God was doing in my life.
o Received Apologian Award from Tabernacle Baptist Bible Institute of
Virginia B each Virginia 5/21/88
o Received Doctor of Divinity Degree from Clarksville Theological Seminary
in 4/23/93,credit was given for the 34 years of Christian service in the
Pastorate and missions work of our Lord Jesus Christ.
o Received Doctor of Divinity Degree from Temple Baptist Institute of
Gulfport Ms 6/4/07.
I have preached in jails , rest homes, churches, homes ect. I was licensed to preach on 9/18/60.
Ordained by the Bay view Baptist Church of Millcreek North Carolina 7/19/63. Won souls in and out of church.

Pastored my first church in 1963,it was a Southern Baptist, I left the convention because of the Apostasy that was and is still in it, this was around 1967.1 am a Independent Baptist preacher by choice and by the grace of God. And my heart still weeps over the Apostasy that permeates our land today both in and out of the convention.
Pastored and built the following on preaching and soul winning :
o One Southern Baptist Church.
o Five Independent Baptist Churches.
MISSIONS : served on the board of Directors since 1971 of World Wide New Testament Baptist Mission of New Bern North Carolina. I have had the privilege to preach on many mission fields around the world. I believe that missions are commanded from God to reach the world for Christ. Part of my mission work is in holding missions revivals and revivals as the Lord leads. Trying to help and strengthen the local church. We must try to win people to Christ. Family :

Attitude toward Christian Education :
o Every person who has opportunity should receive as much as possible but
those who have not the opportunity are no less servants of the Lord.

Important :
If there has been anything accomplished in the past it is due to the grace and choice of God, not because I have done anything . My promise to all our supporting churches is to rightly divide the Word and preach to the best of my abilities and to try to be a blessing to all of our supporting churches ,and to the churches that will allow us to minister to them here and on foreign fields, and to the men who serve as pastors or missionaries.
I am now Emeritus board member of W.W.N.T.B.M. . I have been accepted by this board and serve as a missionary evangelist hi the Barnabas Ministry of Helps. ( 1 Cor. 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.)
Mamie and I have our Membership in The Calvary Baptist Church of Henderson N.C. .1 Pastored this church for twenty years.
Dr. Gene Wood is pastor now.They are one of our supporting churches as well as our sending church.
The Barnabas Ministry of Helps here in America and Overseas :
o Short term relief missionary,
o Revivals,Mission Conferences,
o Building Programs,
o Church Planting,
o Helping when possible in Discipleship .

Since my bout with my health I've not been able to do some of the out of the country work that I would like to do. I also have to rest more often and yes even longer than I use to.
